The Outraged Optimist is looking for information about the outcome of the December 21, 1999 powerball lotto in Washington, D.C.
If we are to believe the public notices papered all over Judiciary Square, the D.C. government awarded those powerball winnings to a proxy, a stand-in for the true winner. The government has since refused to disclose the identity of either the proxy or the lotto winner.
This raises serious questions about what actually happened to the cash. Did the DC government just snatch it? Is the mayor having a party with this "proxy" and a few hundred of their closest friends? A group called Lewis Radcliffe Enterprises is reportedly investigating the matter. We here at O.O. would like to learn more about LRE and possibly assist in the investigation.
